New Construction  FAQs

I would like to connect to the Central Water District.

What is the charge?

Connection charges cover your property's share of the District's system-wide costs, and is dependent on the size of the connection, since larger connections place more demand on the water system.

The Current Residential Connection Charges are as follows :

5/8" Meter Connection  = $21,645

3/4" Meter Connection = $31,290

Service connections larger than 3/4" will be subject to transmissoin and storage fees as determined by the Central Water District Board of Directors.

What steps should I take?

Applicants wishing to construct new water facilities within Central Water District boundaries must contact the Central Water District to determine the feasibility of their project.

Once this is determined, the applicant can complete an application, and provide the District with a $500 Inspection/Administration fee, the applicable meter set-up cost, and the applicable Meter Connection Charge fee.  At this time, additional procedural instructions will be provided to the applicant.

Please note that the Central Water District will determine the final location of all facilities.

IF YOU WISH TO MODIFY YOUR EXISTING WATER FACILITIES, CONTACT THE CENTRAL WATER DISTRICT AT (831)688-2767 FOR MORE INFORMATION.
